Eden Cypher, born and raised in Oakland and a self-described “Plant-Geek,” received her BA in Environmental Studies and Communication at the University of Washington. As a designer at Studio M MERGE, her excitement for the field grows as she learns about different design techniques and renders plans while thinking about how to incorporate a sustainable emphasis. Eden has her sights set on graduate school where she plans on getting a Master of Landscape Architecture, and recently completed UC Berkeley’s Summer [IN]v STITUTE program in landscape architecture.
Her path to landscape architecture has included a variety of odd jobs, from pouring lattes to conducting city-wide waste audits. When she doesn’t have her head down rendering flora or trying to get the attention of the office cat, Irving, she can be found painting acrylic landscapes or furiously knitting sweaters.
